2. Voltage Drop Discrepancy

We have experienced voltage drop discrepancies while running our 60L Fridge with the Nomad V5. This issue has triggered the fridge’s safety shut-off mechanism before the battery is fully depleted. Also the unit has a sharp voltage discharge rate compared to the newer LifePo4 technology, we believe this unit is great for a charging device, running lights and small fridges but if you are look for a system to run large fridges and a heavier load we recommend a more suitable system.

3. Non-LiFePO4 Lithium Chemistry

Unlike LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries known for their slower discharge rates and extended lifespans, the Nomad V5 utilises a different lithium chemistry. As a result, it may exhibit quicker discharge rates, necessitating vigilant monitoring of power levels.

4. Maximum Charge Voltage

The Nomad V5 has a maximum charge voltage of 12.8 volts unlike other lithium power stations which can be charged to 13+ volts. In our opinion this is only an issue when running a fridge with a safety shut-off mechanism.
